Biltong and Basil Pate

This Biltong and Basil Pate is a delicious addition to your next platter, or simply tasty snack with crackers.



250g smooth cottage cheese  

1 cup of finely chopped Biltong      

handful of fresh basil, finely chopped      

1/2 onion, finely chopped    

juice of 1 lemon      

black pepper to season 


In a mixing bowl, combine smooth cottage cheese and lemon juice. Once smooth, add the remainder of the ingredients and mix thoroughly with a spoon until combined. 

Line a dish with glad wrap, transfer the pate, cover and refrigerate until set. 

Once ready to serve, turn the dish upside down and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
